The famous actor of Nigerian origin, Fabian Adeoye Lojede, revealed to French-speaking viewers in the successful series, "Jacob's Cross" has decided to don the mantle of director with the South African experimental short "EJE", "The blood" in Yoruba language.
Fabian Adeoye Lojede, let’s say Bola Abayomi, is in charge of the shooting of the short film called EJE. This film made of suspense and marked with horror scenes retraces the life of a young girl who is at the bedside of a mysterious woman interned in a hospital following a violent accident. Having no way to prove the circumstances of the tragedy she experienced, it is up to the detective to find out the truth. The role of detective is played by the South African actor, Vusi Kunene, who has appeared in films and series such as “Eye in The Sky”, “A United Kingdom”, “Cry”, “the beloved country”, “The first Grader”, “Generations”, “Isidingo” and “Jacob’s cross”.
Antony Bishop (Jacob’s Cross, Chappie, District 9, Machine Gun, Preacher and Black Sails) recently completed the principal photography of this short film in Johannesburg, the South African capital where Fabian Lojede is based. The film also stars award-winning director Akin Omotoso, actress Deborah Lettner (Comatose, Heaven Angel, Wild At Heart and Meerkat Maatuig) and big TV figure Nunu Nqobile (Scandal) in the lead role.
“EJE”, produced by 1 Take Media and Blu Flamingo Africa is in post-production stage and will be available on the small screen and presented at various festivals in just a few months.
Fabian Adeoye Lojede known for his immense attachment to the memory of Thomas Sankara whose assassination was commemorated on October 15, 2018, is full of praise for “EJE” and promises to make it a real visual and narrative treat for pleasure viewers.
